Toys

This Term 5 our Topic is Toys. On Tuesday the children brought in their favourite toys.

Some were able to bring in toys that belonged to their parents and even grandparents when they were children.

We enjoyed comparing our present day toys with toys from the past.

The oldest one belonged to Ryan's grandfather from 1951. Smokey Bear,  3rd. from the left, was the mascot for the USA forest service, to educate the public about the dangers of forest fires. He was based on a real bear that was caught in a forest fire.He had his fur burnt off and his family died, but he survived.

Behind the rabbit are Bill Ding balancing clowns. They belonged to Henry Neale's great grandfather. They were made between 1930 and 1950.

On the right of Smokey Bear is a space station that has belonged to Harry's father since 1999. The space station is called moon base alpha.

Thank you to all parents for your support!

Mrs. Sutcliffe
