Harvest Festival

The children enjoyed going to church last Friday to celebrate Harvest Festival. The children brought in such amazing produce. They sang 'Cauliflowers Fluffy' beautifully. I am so proud of them all!
The Year 2 children looked fabulous in their hats too!
Today, we went back to the church to have look at the produce that was beautifully presented before being delivered to various charities.  The children were amazed at how much food had been donated!

Indian Experience

Sunita spent the day with us in Class 1. We learnt so much about the Indian and Hindu way of life, our RE this term and part of Our World Topic.

We learnt to say hello and to count to 10.

We looked at different saris. Look how long they are! Which colour suits our skin best?

We all dressed in traditional Indian clothes.

Look how smart we are!

We danced Bollywood style.
Mrs. Chesterton our Early Years Governor came to watch.

Do you like our moves?

Big ones helping little ones.

Doing the sign of the deer.

Sunita set up a table to show us how Hindus worship in their homes.

She showed us pictures of all her gods.
We loved the story about Rama and Sita.

Lighting the candle and saying prayers

Making Rangoli Patterns with chalk.

What a wonderful day and experience!
We didn't want the day to end.

Thank you Sunita!
