We learnt about the Easter story.

 

We did some role play:

by the tomb

 

 

and of the Last Supper:

 

 

                     At the Easter Service in Church, we said an Easter acrostic    

 

      

and sang our own version of Hot Cross Buns.

 

We made Easter biscuits and hot cross buns.

 

 

We made Easter baskets

and had an Easter egg competition.

These were our winners.

Gruffalo and Red Nose Day

YR made masks and acted out the story of the Gruffalo.

 

 

They had such fun!

We came to school in our own clothes. Some of us wore red,

some of us had funny faces.

Pirates, under the sea and dragons!

In Class 1, we have all, especially the Revels (YR), been having pirate fun.

 

We made a huge pirate ship to sail the seven seas, that even Breakfast club loved to play in.

Our Visit to Church

Our Visit to Church

As part of our RE Topic, Visiting a Special/Sacred Place, we went to St. Mary’s Church with Rev. Lilian.

 

Mr Crozier opened up the Church and put the heating on for us.

 

We looked at the font,

 

the pews,

 

the stained glass windows,

 

the altar.

 

We went up into the pulpit to see what it was like.

 

 

We felt peace and quiet there. God’s house is a very special place.

Gym

Gym

 

We have done lots of floor work in gym in preparation for working on the big apparatus, tables and benches. We have been making up sequences of moving high and low and balancing on different body parts. We worked on the big apparatus, so we could have the space, before Class 2 moved into the hall. It was great!

 

We moved high.

 

 

We moved low.

 

 

 

We balanced, no wobbling for 1,2,3!
