Book Week

As part of Book Week, Kate and Blizzard the barn owl came to visit Class 1. They read the story of Owl Babies and then the children produced some super writing which has gone on display.

Shed

Thanks to the fund raising and hard work of FOMS and especially Mrs. Camm and Mrs. Hatton, Class 1 now has a big shed on our playground to keep all our resources in.
A BIG thank you to Mrs. Camm for painting it for us!

Habitats

We have based all our work this term on animals and habitats and the children have created some fabulous art work on this theme.

The children have worked really hard on this and the materials they chose for their animal really reflected what their animal was like.  Good work Class 1!

Week beginning 21st May

Well done to all our Y2s for trying their best during their SATs last week.

We are back to 'normal' this week!  In maths all year groups are adding and subtracting and in English, as well as our phonics, we are doing profiles of the charachters in The Lion King.  In our topic on Animals we have looked at the characteristics of animal families ie mammals, amphibia, reptiles, birds and fish.  This week we are going on a bug hunt and learning abut life cycles.

We are trying to complete one or two activities in our Legacy Logs in school so that leaves just one for you to complete with your child at home.  We are working on Equality this week and next week.

The term 5 spelling test for Y1/2 will be this Friday 25th May.
